Chronic Disease Management within the Laboratory Information Management Systems

The link between periodontal disease and systemic conditions like diabetes and heart disease has become a central focus for insurers in early 2026. Modern "Medical-Dental Integration" programs are now standard, where insurance companies identify members with high-risk health profiles and offer them enhanced dental benefits at no additional cost.

How do I eliminate this massive padding between axes and window borders?

When the viewer fits into approximately half of the available space, the padding takes more than 10% of the viewer window. Since it doesn't scale with the viewer it's impossible to use the small ones.

ree

I'd be happy to contribute by making either tweakable parameters for paddings or by setting more sane defaults. At least if no one else considers this a problem, I want to change my local settings.

I tried to search through the code quickly, but since Glueviz is a large project I haven't found an entry point, so I need some advice or assistance in contribution.

Thanks dotAstronomy12! (NYC, 2023)

Thanks so much to Brett Morris, David Rodriguez & the other STScI/Jdaviz folks/fans at dotAstronomy12 for inspiring the creation of this new space on the glue user community site!

glue expert Theo O'Neill and several other gluesers at dotAstronomy12 were happy to see such interest in expanding the capabilities/usage of Jdaviz!

Bonus thanks to Kelle Cruz for this hack with Brett & David, and for organizing dotAstronomy12!

Where are ALL the glue repos?

Our active dev team--which seems to be getting bigger these days(!)-- is trying to get organized. We're using a "Miro Board" to develop many small flow charts showing how glue is used in different contexts, and you'll see that soon. BUT, there's a piece of it that seems really useful to everyone, showing where ALL the repos that are frequently used can be found online. It's on its own Miro board, embedded at the bottom of the "Software Sites" page on this user community site.

If you want a direct peek, click "See the board," below! You should also be able to add your comments right in the board.

Happenings here & on Slack

Good morning glusers! Thanks for already being here.

Today is "Slack cleanup day" for us. So, many of you on the glueviz Slack may see a note or two indicating your staus there has changed--please let us know, on Slack, if you need any additional changes.

For others, not on Slack yet, please know that this site (the glue user community) is a helpful place to learn and ask about all things glue, while Slack is a good place to communicate directly with other glue folks, and especially the developers.

As usual, GitHub is the place to go if you want to see or contribute to any and all of the glue-related efforts!

Thanks much & please stay-tuned for more updates coming soon!

Shh.. pre-release fixed up glue-qt dmg from TR

I'm sure that Tom Robitaille will post this dmg to the glueviz.org site very soon, but just in case you want the latest greatest dmg for Mac, it's at http://glueviz.s3.amazonaws.com/installers/2023.06.3/glue%202023.06.3.dmg & works great for me.

How significantly different are the standalone installer versions and the python installed versions? Is any functionality difference documented somewhere?

WWT in glue *does* support drop-in FITS image overlays!

ree

Many thanks to Tom Robitaille for reminding me that qt-glue's WWT plug-in already supports FITS overlays, with nice controls for the FITS images too. Just drag & drop a FITS image on to the WWT viewer, and then use the usual glue UI at right to control the image's appearance! 😀

glue-related keynote talk at JupyterCon 2023

Hi glusers. Just for fun, I thought I'd post a link to my very glue-y talk slides from "Seeing the Universe more clearly with glue & glupyter" at JupyterCon today. Here you go! https://scholar.harvard.edu/agoodman/presentations/seeing-universe-more-clearly-glue-glupyter. I had great fun giving the talk, and likely recruited some new glusers. :-)
